Spring opens with a dry but very cold May, while June will be rainy and mild.
July and August and the first 20 days of September were marked by some sporadic, well-distributed rainfall and mild temperatures without excesses. The climate during these months ensured optimal sugar ripening for all varieties.
A sudden change marks the days between 20 September and 10 October, where several major rainfall events will be recorded, amounting to a cumulus of over 210 mm in just 20 days. The rainfall accumulations are well above average in both September and October.
However, there are no health problems with the grapes, which in the best vineyards will reach full ripeness in the second half of October. The wines appear very elegant and pleasantly characterised by fresh fruity notes. The non-excessive alcohol contents confirm a vintage of great finesse.
